Indiana Trip

The kids and I made a 12 hour road trip to Indiana last week. They did great on the way over and we had an AWESOME trip...PACKED with activity! 

We hit up the Indy Zoo first thing on Monday morning with friends! We try to visit the zoo each time we're in Indy--the kids LOVE the sharks and Jack FINALLY touched one!

We visited my Granny while we were in town--she's doing great and loved having the kids run a muck around her little apartment.

 Gracie Girl even did her nails!

I took my nephew Levi for the day so we could get some good quality time in before we left...he is SUCH a happy baby!

Papa got Jack a real cross bow...he's getting really into the whole "weapon" thing lately!

 The kids had a blast down at Papa and Grammy's property.

We had a wonderful time, got to see LOTS of friends and family but it always seems to go by so fast! We'll be back in September for a couple weeks--see you then, Indiana!

Wine Fest 2012

This past weekend we went to Wine Fest down by the water in Norfolk--we had such a great time! Great weather, even better company, and lots of wine!

 Kevin and Ali were visiting and came with us!

 We went all "classy and grown up" this year and got a table instead of our usual lawn spots!

 We spent most of our time by the water enjoying our wine and the cooling breeze--it was blazing!

BB Gun=Goose Hunter

Garrett brought home a BB Gun this week. Naturally, Jack now wishes to be called "Goose Hunter."

Beach Day

The kids and I met my friend and her daughter at the beach last Friday--it was the kids first time back to beach since the weather has warmed up and they had a FABULOUS time!!

"Fiesta or Siesta?"

Our little family went out for Mexican last night for Cinco de Mayo--this is a big deal for us because I am really the only one in the fam that is crazy about Mexican so we NEVER go out for it....and we never will again. Poor Gracie Girl was violently ill after eating it. She was up all night getting sick, taking baths, and getting new sheets on her bed. After our fun fiesta, this poor girl really needed a siesta in her Mommy and Daddy's bed.
