Home on the Range

My mom has been teaching the kids the song "Home on the Range." I'm really not sure why...but they love it! Here's the original version , and below is Jack's version!

"a TROPHY Mommy!"

Today was Jack's last t-ball game of the season...and it was a GREAT one!! He got a HIT from the coach pitching it to him--not off of the tee!!

(so what his eyes are closed...he's money with a bat!)

He also got to spend some time at 3rd base talking to a smokin' hot girl.
"yeah, i'll call you later baby."
"ooohhh yeah...she wants me."

But the BEST part of the day was when the TROPHIES were handed out!!!

"am I EVER gonna get one??"

here it is...his moment of glory.
"it's A TROPHY Mommy!"

(i adore this boy.)

First season of t-ball=HUGE SUCCESS...cannot wait til Daddy can see him in action next year!

And the countdown begins...

We got out the scissors, construction paper, and glue today to make our COUNTDOWN TO DADDY CHAIN!!! The kids are old enough this deployment to get the concept of tearing off a link each day to count down until Daddy gets home, and since we're now on the homestretch--the countdown has officially begun!!

No Break A Nose!

When we were in Ohio Garrett's Dad acted like he was breaking his nose and would make a clicking noise when he did it (we have strange humor in this family)...anyway, the kids thought it was hilarious. So, I tried doing it with Grace last week and she FREAKED out!! I finally got a video clip of her today--and this is a mild version of the freak outs. So, whatever you do..."No break a nose!"
