Shamrock 1/2!

I ran the Shamrock Half Marathon over St. Patrick's Day Weekend--soooo glad to have it done and over with! It was supposed to be a fun thing for my husband and I to do, but his knee didn't allow him to train at all and he didn't end up running with me. So, I hit the road solo and actually had a fun race! I finished up in 2 hrs 2o min. Not my best time, but considering the nasty cold I had not even a week prior and my less than stellar training, I'm happy with my time. This was my 3rd 1/2 marathon before the age of 30! That makes 3 for me, 0 for Garrett...but who's counting, right? ;)

Pioneer Woman came to Virginia Beach over St. Patty's weekend! My friend and I waited in line for 3 hours to meet her (which made us SUPER annoyed b/c we had numbered tickets for the line that he bookstore didn't honor). When we finally got up to her, she signed her new cookbook for me and I even asked a question about my iron skillet. She was very pleasant, down to earth and nice in person. Lesson learned though: I won't wait 3 hours to meet anyone anymore...well, unless it's my fav, Beyonce!

Since going Vegan for Lent, I've been experiencing my share of 'hunger' for certain things...Jack is eating one of them-a Snickers egg. See the delicious caramel string?? Little stinker enjoyed every last bite too!

Character Dinners

I found a discount deal online for 2 character dinners at our local mall for $15. I scooped it up and scheduled dinners with Belle from Beauty and Beast and Spiderman!!

Grace and Mommy went first--Grace was putting on her lip gloss, of course!

they had pizza and got to decorate their own cupcake...Grace just ate the spoonful of icing! She gets that from her Grandma!

Jack and Daddy went the week after. Poor Jackson was sick with a fever, but we didn't dare cancel on Spiderman!

Daddy's camera was dead so he took pics with his phone, not as good but still so cute!

The kids absolutely LOVED it...and for $15, Mommy and Daddy loved it too!

Week 10- Be Still

My great friend D's little girl, C. We try to get together as much as we can and practice our photography on each other's children. They play together, we badger them, they revolt. It's an ongoing battle.

Once in awhile, they don't mind the camera in their face and they listen to our pleas to "be still and let me take your picture!"

Week 9- A Great Leap

Had a lot of fun practicing with this. Started with my shutter speed really low (1/5) and worked my way up. The blurred ones were fun, but this one cracked me up.
