6 Months!

Gracie Girl is 6 months old already! We took her to her well-baby checkup the other day and she is growing right on track at 26 inches and 17 pounds! She's 3 pounds lighter and 2 inches smaller than Jackson was at her age. She's still our little roly poly girl and is beginning to show signs of attempting to crawl--she's a big "rocker," which-according to my mother-in-law, is something she must have gotten from her father! Apparently, Garrett used to sit and rock ALL the time and even broke 2 cribs "rocking" back and forth! Grace also has zero tolerance for her big brother these days. He still wants to lay on her and love all over her and she squeals and swats him away, the bickering has begun!

Roller Skating!!

We went roller skating this past weekend with a couple people and another family from Garrett's squadron. I don't know who was more hilarious on skates-Jack or Garrett! Both had a lot of fun!!

We had to practically trick him into letting us help him--he wanted to do it ALL on his own!

A group of us VAW-113 wives ran a 5K last week--ALL of us had strollers! We were quite a site for everyone else but we had a great time!

Dog Woes

Before Jack's love of horses came about--his interest was dogs. His Uncle Kevin and Aunt Ali got him a dog pillow for Christmas that he sleeps with every night, both of his grandparents got him "talking" dogs and he has many books about doggies. Today, we found him on the floor of the kitchen looking at a framed picture that my parents had sent of Jackson and their dog, Max. Needless to say, the poor little boy needs a dog of his own.

Blue Eyed Girl

I still cannot get over that both of my children have striking blue eyes, maybe most babies do and I have just never noticed but I'm loving the baby blues that my kiddos have!

SHOES!!

If I'm ever looking for Jackson, the first place I look is our bedroom closet. It's usually where I find him trying on shoes. Mine or Garrett's--it doesn't matter to him, he just loves walking around in them and yelling "SHOES!"

We are working on the alphabet--still in the "repeat after me" phase, but hopefully we'll move on to singing the ABC's very soon!

Recent Pictures!

I take all kinds of pictures of my kids, but today when I was working on their baby books I looked through A TON of photos from their births until now. I sat there amazed at just how quickly time flies and how much my babies have grown. Jack is now a little boy and there is no trace of baby in him anywhere!
